
Eyob's Story
Eyob Daniel was born in 1977 to his father, Daniel Woldehawariat Eyob and his mother, Amsalework Bekele in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. When he was of school age, he, his mother, and his older sister, Eden Daniel, moved to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia where his mother was transfereed to work at UNICEF. It was here that Eyob accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior. After completing Elementary school at the American School in Riyadh, he and Eden moved to Columbia, South Carolina to attend Ben Lippen High School, a short drive away from family in Virginia. Upon graduation, Eyob attended Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. He continued his education from 2001-2004 at Webster University in Geneva, Switzerland and graduated with Honors, earning a Master of Arts Degree in International Relations. Eyob then began working at the International Trade Center as an intern. He also worked at Global Fund for some time He was in the process of earning his PHD in International Relations at the Geneva School of Diplomacy and International Relations, he was to present his thesis in August of 2019 . He was an avid photographer, writer and a talented painter. He enjoyed music of dierent genres and played the tromobone in a school band for a portion of his life. He travelled the world with his Mother and sister enjoying a variety of adventures and experiencing dierent cultures. Eyob was deeply loved by all of his family and all of his friends. He was an incredibly honorable, kind, loving, creative and gentle man and will be missed terribly.

Who We Are
EFHDF-EYA is a non-profit organization established by the family of Eyob Daniel Eyob to express their love, honor, and admiration for their son, brother and friend, a young man who had a passion for helping his community. We are therefore dedicated to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable communities of Ethiopia by improving their overall welfare including livelihoods, healthcare services, education, and human rights issues as well as responding to emergency. EFHDF-EYA is a foundation established in 2022 and registered by the Charities and Societies Authority to support needy people in Ethiopia with an initial focus on Addis Ababa City Administration and with the intention to expand to other parts of the country.

Mission
To improve the lives of the vulnerable communities of Ethiopia by providing access to healthcare services, education, capacity development training programmes through our initiatives that in turn improves their livelihood.

Principles
EFHDF-EYA upholds the humanitarian principles while delivering its services. The humanitarian principles that are referred are provided below
Impartiality: human suffering must be addressed wherever it is found, with particular attention to the most vulnerable.
Neutrality: humanitarian aid must not favor any side in an armed conflict or other dispute.
Humanity: humanitarian aid must be provided solely on the basis of need, without discrimination.
Independence: the autonomy of humanitarian objectives from political, economic, military or other objectives.
We believe that creating access to economic opportunities, healthcare services, and education is critically essential for individuals and families to move out of poverty and thrive in life to fulfill their destinies.
